Give a female toddler a doll, she'll hug it. Give a guy toddler a doll, and he'll throw it across the room. I know. I had a little daycare in my home and that's what happened. The guy toddler's parents were NDP, so he definitely hadn't been programmed to be "masculine." But he preferred the cars. The girls and cars? Meh.
